Unite all Igbo indigenes, families and relations resident in Huddersfield
There is currently no organisational body providing care and support to the many Igbo Indigenous people and families in Huddersfield, and that is the main purpose of the Union.
The fight against youth crime: we will teach our children and teenagers about the evils of criminality through education, recreational activities and entertainment.
This Union will provide support to our men, women, and the elderly and advise on the mental health and welfare of its members.
The Union will participate in charitable activities in Huddersfield and support government-initiated programs.
We would also liaise with other Igbo communities outside of Huddersfield in our common cultural celebrations and support.
The union also celebrates the birthdays of all its members.

Youths mentoring, Women empowerment and development.
Creating a forum that would enable the tutoring and involvement of our youths in activities, education on factors in growing up, equal opportunities, keeping away from criminality, good social life, and respect for law and order. Embedding the Igbo ethics of life, which is based on love for one another and respect for co-habitant of the Huddersfield community.

Providing support to our women, new and young mothers regarding pre-birth and postnatal issues to be provided by the ladies of the union. The Union provides advice on career pathways, and employment opportunities and organises cultural, and sports events and get-togethers.
